"Oscar Proud"
Actor and comedian Tommy Davidson reprises his role as Proud patriarch Oscar Proud in Disney+'s "The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder," the long-anticipated revival of the groundbreaking animated series "The Proud Family."
 
Best known for his comedic talents as a cast member on the iconic sketch show "In Living Color," Davidson's additional television credits include "Real Husbands of Hollywood," "I'm Dying Up Here," "Partners in Crime," "Between Brothers" and ABC's "Celebrity Wife Swap." He also hosted three seasons of ABC's "Vacation Creation." Voiceover credits include "Black Dynamite," "Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child" and "The Proud Family," which earned him five NAACP Image Award nominations. 
 
Davidson's film credits include "Strictly Business," "Bamboozled," "Juwanna Mann" and "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls." Recently, he starred in the award-winning documentary "I Am Comic" and in the feature documentary "Dying Laughing." 
 
He has had three Showtime specials "On the Strength in N.Y.C.," "Illin' in Philly," and "Takin' it to DC," and hosted and starred in the popular "Chocolate Sundaes" comedy show. He also headlined "The Off Color Comedy Tour" with Keenen Ivory Wayans, Shawn Wayans and David Alan Grier.
 
In February 2020, Davidson released a personal memoir "Living in Color: What's Funny About Me," which recounts his triumphs as having been abandoned as in infant, and adopted and raised by a Caucasian family in Washington, D.C. during the Civil Rights Movement.
